Gerry and his wife, Barbara, became Mercy’s sponsors beginning in late 2014, and Gerry visited Mercy at her home in Meru in 2015. Mercy’s grandmother, Salome, was a gracious host for the small group that included Pastor Jacob (left) and Elder Daniel (right). Gerry and Barbara also began sponsoring Kellen in 2014.
Sponsors can reside anywhere in the world. The annual cost to sponsor a high school student is $1200, plus an additional cost of $150 in the first year for a smartphone. For those students that go on to college, the average annual cost is approximately $2500, plus an additional cost of approximately $500 for a computer in the first year. Sponsorship checks are mailed to our Foundation annually for high school or semi-annually for college, with 100% going toward the education of these students.
